Rental companies across South America power some of the most demanding work in the world: offshore oil and gas platforms, high-altitude mines in the Andes, major construction projects and large outdoor events. A Range Built for Rental Work
MPMC’s generator sets span 9 kVA to 3,750 kVA and include a dedicated SR rental type built to Australian and European rental standards, SR2 silent units, and SC containerised units resistant to heat, corrosion and water. South American markets use both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, and MPMC covers both: the Cummins-documented 60 Hz line-up runs from the MCLS1260(S)-2 at 1,375 kVA prime and 1,575 kVA standby to the MCLS2000(S)-2 at 2,281.25 kVA prime and 2,500 kVA standby, and MPMC has delivered 50/60 Hz switchable rental units, such as the six 1,250 kVA Cummins QSK38-G5 sets for a 7.5 MW event rental project.
Engineered for Coast, Altitude and Heat
Offshore and coastal work calls for C5 marine-grade coating, available across MPMC’s containerised range; Andean mines benefit from altitude derating calculated for each engine model; and copper radiators rated for 50°C ambient suit hot lowland sites. Every unit is load-tested from 0% to 110% in MPMC’s CNAS-accredited test centre before shipment.

HBD-R Battery Storage Designed for Rental
The HBD-R Series is designed specifically for the rental market and as a companion to diesel generators. Its specialised rental structure offers up to 50% lower O&M cost, it is CE certified, and it parallels with DSE, ComAp, DEIF, Woodward, Smartgen, CAT EMCP and Cummins PCC controllers, so it works with the generators already in a rental company’s yard. Units range from 30 kW / 61.44 kWh to 610 kW / 610.6 kWh, scale in parallel and use LFP cells rated for 6,000 cycles at 90% depth of discharge. Paired with a generator, HBD-R lets the engine run at around 75% load while the battery covers peaks, and MPMC product data associates this with fuel savings of up to 75%. On noise-sensitive sites, the battery supplies power alone during restricted hours.

In Chile, a 2 MWh HBD-R event system delivered clean, silent power during performance hours, while in Brazil MPMC’s containerised Cummins units supply offshore rigs that require precise load sharing, marine-grade corrosion protection and rapid commissioning.
Partnership and Support
MPMC works through direct sales and authorised distributors and agents covering the Americas, with OEM customisation, private-label arrangements and exclusive territory arrangements in select markets. Generator sets carry a 1-year or 1,000-hour warranty, with engines, alternators and controllers covered by their OEM warranties and serviced through the global networks of Cummins, Perkins, Stamford, Leroy-Somer and other partners. HBD-R units carry a 3-year system warranty and a 5-year battery performance warranty, with remote diagnostics through MPMC’s SCADA/EMS cloud platform.
