Today’s news report says that BMW has found a new partner—Korean battery giant Samsung SDI for its solid-state battery dreams. And BMW also has developed a long-standing partnership with American Battery start-up Solid Power.
In this win-win collaboration, Solid Power will supply a core material of solid-state battery electrolyte and Samsung SDI will take the responsibility of integrating the material into the battery cells. With these two paddle’s assistance, BMW will gather enough horsepower to play in the race.
Nissan reach an agreement with an American start-up on solid-state battery development. And it has already been running a pilot production line for solid-state batteries since the start of this year.
